A special edition published as an insert for Purple Fashion Magazine #15, co-published with Studio Zero and issued by Purple Institute, Paris, in Spring/Summer 2011.

Widely regarded as the most celebrated publication in Purple Fashion's legendary insert series, Street Mouth is Thurston Moore's intimate visual diary a collage of personal photographs, flyers, handwritten notes, and found ephemera that traces the mythology of New York's underground music and art scenes throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

Rather than documenting a movement from a critical distance, Moore reconstructs it from within. Patti Smith, Lou Reed, Television, Iggy & the Stooges, Sable Starr, Richard Hell, William Burroughs, the Sun Ra Arkestra, and countless obscure hardcore bands appear alongside Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon, forming an archive where memory, fandom, and lived experience become inseparable.

Part scrapbook, part memoir, and part elegy, Street Mouth stands as both a deeply personal testament and one of the finest examples of collaborative print culture from the early 2010s a publication that preserves the emotional texture of a generation through fragments, images, and devotion.

Intermission exists in the space between documentation and devotion an ongoing archive of cultural fragments that refuse to vanish. Each title within our portfolio is selected not for trend, but for tension: between what was meant to disappear and what insists on remaining.

We work with objects that speak quietly but persistently publications, recordings, and editions that define the undercurrents of art, sound, and design. Together they form a living record of marginal brilliance, a collection that privileges significance over scale.

Every Intermission title is handled as an artifact. We believe that preservation is an act of reverence one that begins the moment you open a cover or unspool a tape.

To experience a piece, do so slowly. Allow the air to touch the paper, let light fall softly over each page. Avoid excess pressure; handle edges rather than surfaces. Each mark, fold, or patina is part of its passage through time evidence of care rather than decay.

We encourage collectors to engage not only with the content, but with the gesture of preservation itself: a quiet commitment to memory.
