First edition of Comme une fleur…, a photographic book by Pierre Jousson, with text by Jan Nova and a preface by Michel Bernard. Published by Truong in 1970 and printed by Girotypo in Bagneux, Hauts-de-Seine, the printing was completed on 7 December 1970, with legal deposit recorded in the fourth quarter of 1970.
Jousson was a Swiss-based photographer whose work focused extensively on the female nude. His earlier publications include La Femme, Le Couple, Jessica, and Érotique, issued in Lausanne and Geneva. Comme une fleur… belongs to the wave of French-language erotic photobooks that emerged alongside the cultural and social liberalisation of the late 1960s, when previously restricted forms of erotic imagery increasingly entered commercial publishing.
Truong's publishing catalogue placed the book within a broader field of European erotic literature and photography, alongside titles such as G. Legman's Oragénitalisme, the Kronhausens' Ex-Libris Eroticis, and the three-volume L'Art érotique. The publication therefore offers a glimpse into the network of small publishers and specialist booksellers that sustained erotic publishing in France and neighboring European markets during the period.
Today, Comme une fleur… functions as a period document of post-1968 European erotic photography and of the independent publishing structures that emerged around it. Its large format and photographic emphasis situate the book within the visual culture of early 1970s French-language photobooks, where the boundaries between art photography, erotic publishing, and popular photographic culture were increasingly fluid.
Contains nude and erotic photography. Intended for adult readers.
Intermission exists in the space between documentation and devotion an ongoing archive of cultural fragments that refuse to vanish. Each title within our portfolio is selected not for trend, but for tension: between what was meant to disappear and what insists on remaining.
We work with objects that speak quietly but persistently publications, recordings, and editions that define the undercurrents of art, sound, and design. Together they form a living record of marginal brilliance, a collection that privileges significance over scale.

Every Intermission title is handled as an artifact. We believe that preservation is an act of reverence one that begins the moment you open a cover or unspool a tape.
To experience a piece, do so slowly. Allow the air to touch the paper, let light fall softly over each page. Avoid excess pressure; handle edges rather than surfaces. Each mark, fold, or patina is part of its passage through time evidence of care rather than decay.
We encourage collectors to engage not only with the content, but with the gesture of preservation itself: a quiet commitment to memory.
