A provocative and highly limited publication, Rats at the Ritz brings together the confrontational visual language of Terry Richardson with the subversive ethos of Enfants Riches Déprimés.

Published in 2025, this hand-numbered edition of just 150 copies presents 88 color photographs shot exclusively for the brand. The book operates within a deliberately charged aesthetic—where excess, eroticism, and disorder are staged with unapologetic intensity. Richardson’s signature immediacy and direct flash photography amplify the sense of proximity, collapsing the distance between subject, viewer, and spectacle.

At the core of the publication is a shared sensibility between photographer and label: a fascination with underground glamour, cultivated decadence, and the aesthetics of transgression. The images oscillate between fashion editorial and raw documentation, constructing a visual environment that is both performative and unfiltered.

Compact yet conceptually loaded, Rats at the Ritz functions as a collectible artifact—one that encapsulates a specific intersection of contemporary fashion, image-making, and cultural provocation. Its scarcity further reinforces its status within niche publishing and collector circles.

Intermission exists in the space between documentation and devotion an ongoing archive of cultural fragments that refuse to vanish. Each title within our portfolio is selected not for trend, but for tension: between what was meant to disappear and what insists on remaining.

We work with objects that speak quietly but persistently publications, recordings, and editions that define the undercurrents of art, sound, and design. Together they form a living record of marginal brilliance, a collection that privileges significance over scale.

Every Intermission title is handled as an artifact. We believe that preservation is an act of reverence one that begins the moment you open a cover or unspool a tape.

To experience a piece, do so slowly. Allow the air to touch the paper, let light fall softly over each page. Avoid excess pressure; handle edges rather than surfaces. Each mark, fold, or patina is part of its passage through time evidence of care rather than decay.

We encourage collectors to engage not only with the content, but with the gesture of preservation itself: a quiet commitment to memory.
